This is a Corp of Engineers park that has been in service for several years. Although the park is well maintained, the majority of pads are designed for shorter rigs than my combined length of 53'. It is not particularly convenient to anything but the lake. Regular week days the park is quiet and relaxing. On the weekend tenters and families with children converge and then it can be a little less relaxing. (However the staff and Rangers do keep a good patrol going.) The vast majority of campers at this site are basically local due to its location. Since it is not overly far from home base, we might stay there again for a little get-away location. The dump station is convenient and easy to get in and out of.

We were in Houston for a dog show at the Reliant Center and chose not to dry camp there. We selected All Star for its relatively easy travel route (Houston traffic considered). Full hook-ups and trees are very nice. Although the park is only about 3 blocks from a major expressway, we found it peaceful and quiet. Approximately half of the sites are occupied by long-termers, but their sites were maintained, as was the entire park. We would certainly consider this park for future use.

This is a Corp of Engineers park. It is a little dated. HOWEVER the park is scheduled for a complete redo at the end of the 2009 camping season. It is very accessible from Tulsa and The Muskogee Turnpike. My wife and I parked for nearly a week as a little get-away in our new 5th Wheel and I easily drove into my Tulsa office each workday. We will stay here again and look forward to the renewed park next year.

We found this campground to be well maintained and convenient to the entire area. During the week days the park is quiet and on the weekend (Memorial Day) it was packed with a lot of youngsters. However this was never a bother because the majority of the kids were very well behaved. We stayed an extra day and would certainly stay here again!
